Faithfulness of our Heavenly Father
We need to notice symmetry in the way Bible passages are put together—today’s passage is a case in point. If we take a bird’s eye view, we can see that it falls neatly into three parts: there are two bookends (vs.1-6, and vs.12-18), and then a middle section (vs.7-11). But it also raises the question of contentment as one of God’s people—am I content in life, will I be content in death, because I rest in the fulfilled promises of God?
